Overview of Curl Bar A mid-length bar with a semi-hammer grip configuration designed specifically to work your biceps, forearms and front deltoids. Hammer grip is considered to be the optimal hand position to target the bicep muscles during curl, row and roll out moves. To be your best Keep your elbows pulled in tight against your torso whilst curling the bar if you want to isolate the biceps. When seated, lean forwards slightly to pre-load the muscles. If you are working on 21's (where you only perform a small movement) make sure that when you do the full range set that you really finish every repetition. Coach says Your bicep muscles are approximately one third of the diameter of your arm but we know you guys like to give those 'guns' a little extra attention so do this; superset with some full range curls followed straight after by push ups (double the reps on push ups because the chest is also in action). Designer notes The bar we have designed gives you multiple options for hand position, this includes 'over-grip' where you palms are facing downwards. Over-grip training is key to improving grip strength which is fundamental in all strength based activities. Overview of Chrome Plates Weight needn't be just practical; they can also be aesthetically stunning. The elite plates are moulded from rubber compound material to make them durable and dynamic then they have a Urethane plate mounted in the centre of each disc. Not only does this look stunning but it also increases the durability. To be your best Mix up your strength training; athletes from the track, field and all other competitive arenas change their workouts throughout the year so that they can always be productive. For some of the year, consider lifting heavy weights to build muscle and develop raw strength then at other times of your regime work on speed and endurance. Coach says When you lift weights you need to ask yourself a question, do you want a body built for go go go or show'? If you want 'show' then you'll probably end up needing to lift slow and heavy but if you are more interested in a 'go go go' body that is strong, flexible, mobile and balanced then work on lifting a mix of heavy and medium weights 3 5 times per week Designer notes We think that all we need to say about these weight is, they are so cool that you'll want to keep them out 'on show', even when you aren't using them.
